ROSOBORONEXPORT JSC (part of the Rostec State Corporation) is organizing Russia’s single exhibit at the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX) 2025, taking place from December 1 to 4 in Cairo. The Company is showcasing the most in-demand Russian products in Africa for the Air Force, Air Defence, Land Forces, Navy, and security sectors.
“EDEX 2025 occupies a special place in ROSOBORONEXPORT’s exhibition campaign. This year we celebrate the 70th anniversary of military-technical cooperation between Russia and Egypt. Our countries have developed strategic partnership relations based on mutual respect, trust and shared interests. Today ROSOBORONEXPORT offers Egypt not just weapons, but comprehensive solutions for national security, including for the development of the country’s defence industry through technology cooperation projects,” said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of ROSOBORONEXPORT.
The EDEX exhibition is held under the patronage of Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces. ROSOBORONEXPORT, a participant in all previous editions, is once again showcasing advanced, battle-proven Russian weapons.
For the Air Force, ROSOBORONEXPORT is displaying the Su-57E multirole fighter – the world’s only fifth-generation aircraft with experience in modern, high-threat air defence environments. The special aviation segment features the IL-78MK-90A tanker, which can be rapidly converted into transport, ambulance, firefighting configurations, or even a “flying hospital.” The Ka-52 reconnaissance/attack helicopter on display is equipped with a defensive aids suite, a unique crew ejection system, and advanced air-to-air and extended-range precision-guided weapons.

In the air defence segment, the Company is showcasing the S-350E Vityaz anti-aircraft missile system, which has demonstrated strong performance against a wide spectrum of aerial threats in real combat conditions, including in fully automatic mode. The Verba MANPADS, the world’s only man-portable air defence system with a three-spectrum seeker, is also on display, offering high jamming immunity and enhanced performance against low-infrared-signature targets.
A wide range of long-, medium- and short-range air defence systems is also on exhibit at the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Concern booth.
For the Land Forces, ROSOBORONEXPORT is presenting Russian weapons developed or upgraded based on modern combat experience, including the T-90MS main battle tank in a new configuration, the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, the Kornet-EM remote-controlled ATGM system, and loitering munitions such as the upgraded Lancet-E.
Naval delegations at EDEX 2025 are also able to explore the Rubezh-ME coastal defence missile system.
ROSOBORONEXPORT is holding discussions on new cooperation projects related to the products showcased at the exhibition, including industrial collaboration in line with current market trends. The Company is also engaging with representatives of Egyptian and regional law enforcement agencies to expand partnerships and develop new joint initiatives.
