The HENSOLDT Group (“HENSOLDT”) has published its Sustainability Report for the 2024 financial year, providing detailed insights into its progress in the areas of environmental, social and responsible corporate governance. For the first time, the sustainability report is fully integrated into the annual report to emphasise the equivalence of financial and non-financial reporting. In doing so, the company is sending a clear signal of transparency to its stakeholders.
HENSOLDT’s sustainability strategy is consistently aligned with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). In this respect, the company is going beyond regulatory requirements and has voluntarily implemented the guideline as early as 2024 – even before the German legislator has finalised the legal framework. HENSOLDT is thus playing a pioneering role and setting new standards in sustainability reporting.
In 2024, a particular focus was on reducing the carbon footprint. HENSOLDT is pursuing a consistent carbon reduction path and is making targeted investments in the expansion of renewable energy sources and in the conversion of its vehicle fleet to electric mobility. The company has also made significant progress in social terms, particularly by strengthening its corporate culture, creating modern working environments and building diverse teams. In the context of the German Supply Chain Act (LkSG), HENSOLDT ensures compliance with ethical principles and actively promotes human rights throughout the entire value chain.
Lars Immisch, CHRO of HENSOLDT, says: “2024 was a year of important decisions for HENSOLDT. We have created clear structures to integrate sustainability into our actions in a data-driven, measurable and targeted manner. In doing so, our sustainability strategy is not an end in itself – all measures also make business sense: they increase our economic resilience and efficiency. We drive sustainable growth and align ecological and economic interests.”
