3 AL250 simulators installed at the University of HERTFORDSHIRE

ALSIM announced that the University of Hertfordshire has three new ALSIM AL250 flight simulators, two of which are equipped with the Engineering Pack. Those simulators will enhance UOH’s Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies program and provide students with state-of-the-art training tools.

The AL250 simulator addresses initial phase of training needs (PPL, CPL, IR/ME) and is a SEP/MEP re–configurable simulator certified as an EASA FNPT II. In addition, it offers both classic and glass cockpit for each flight model at the simple flick of a switch. This device has been extremely well received since its creation and more than 100 of these have already been installed and are in successful operation worldwide.

The ALSIM Engineering Pack empowers engineering students to be completely independent to design and test aircraft models on the ALSIM AL250 simulator. Integrated within MATLAB® and Simulink®, ALSIM Engineering Pack offers endless possibilities to create custom concept instruments, extract nearly 4000 editable variables, modify aircraft flight characteristics, integrate external pilot monitoring systems and generally support research trials.

ALSIM will be present at AERO Friedrichshafen from April 9 to 12, 2025 (Booth: A6-413), where visitors will have the opportunity to experience the AL250 simulator and discover the capabilities of the Engineering Pack.

Prof. Dan McCluskey, Dean of the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire, states: “I’m absolutely delighted that we’ve chosen the ALSIM flight simulator to take our students’ learning experience to new heights!

This incredible technology brings aviation to life, giving our undergraduate and postgraduate students the chance to hone their skills in a dynamic, hands-on environment. By putting theory into practice, they gain invaluable real-world experience that enhances their employability and prepares them for the challenges of the aerospace industry. With this cutting-edge simulator, we’re equipping our students with the confidence, expertise, and competitive edge they need to soar in their careers.”

Anna LEZORAY, Sales Manager at ALSIM, adds: ” We are thrilled the University of Hertfordshire has recognized ALSIM solutions as best fitted to their educational needs. We take this opportunity to thank all the people involved in this project for their engagement and professionalism, and we are looking forward to our further, long-term and fruitful cooperation.
