Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec State Corporation) is organizing a large-scale exhibit of the newest Russian defense products at the IDEX 2025 International Defense Exhibition.
All the pieces of armament showcased have a successful track record on the battlefield and have been modified to take into account the realities of a modern high-intensity conflict.
“At IDEX 2025, Rosoboronexport is presenting the maximum number of new products from Russian defense industry in recent years. Among them are: the T-90MS, the best MBT in the world in an upgraded configuration, Pantsir-SMD-E SAM system, KUB new-generation loitering munitions, Kornet-EM ATGM system with remote control and the new Bulat missile, and the Berezhok crew compartment. The general idea of our exhibit is to show Russia’s comprehensive approach to developing and upgrading all types of weapons, taking into account the experience of modern combat operations. This factor has already enabled us to sign contracts worth more than $4.5 billion with 15 friendly countries in 2025,” Rosoboronexport Director General Alexander Mikheev said.
Russia’s exhibit at IDEX 2025 is located in Pavilion 10 of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC). Its total area is almost 1000 square meters. More than 40 Russian defense manufacturers are showcasing their products.
The central place of Rosoboronexport booth is occupied by the T-90MS tank designed and manufactured by Uralvagonzavod (part of Rostec). This model has incorporated the most advanced technologies and new technical solutions. It is protected taking into account the combat experience of countering the entire range of modern anti-tank weapons: strike UAVs, FPV drones, ATGMs and light AT grenade launchers. In addition to the protection system, which includes ERA, add-on slat armor, UAV electronic warfare equipment and an active protection system, its armored protection is markedly differentiated.
The tank is equipped with a new digital fire control system, integrated command information systems and other innovative solutions have been incorporated into its design. The presented T-90MS has increased firepower by firing new APFSDS, air-bursting fragmentation projectiles and guided missiles.
At the booth of Rostec’s High-Precision Systems, Rosoboronexport will present the Pantsir-SMD-E SAM system with new surface-to-air missiles, the Kornet-EM ATGM system in an updated configuration, as well as the Berezhok crew compartment to delegations from the Middle East and other countries participating in IDEX 2025.
The Pantsir-SMD-E SAM system is the latest very-short-range air defense weapon. It is designed to protect valued facilities against all types of UAVs, including quadrotors. Its ammunition load consists of 48 TKB-1055 small-sized cost-effective missiles and enables it to repel air attacks for a long time, including using salvo firing. It can also use missiles with a range of up to 20 kilometers.
“Rosoboronexport expects increased interest in the new Pantsir-SMD-E in the Middle East. Today, it is the best solution in the world market to protect critical infrastructure, including oil and gas facilities, against all types of aerial threats. The SAM system is not demanding on the sites for installation – it can be mounted on buildings or a concrete slab, it is remotely controlled, fires salvos, and receives data from external radars,” Alexander Mikheev noted.
In the air defense segment, Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation will showcase a wide range of long-, medium- and short-range anti-aircraft missile systems.
The Kornet-EM ATGM system upgraded taking into account the results of its combat employment, has received a remote-control system, which ensures the operator’s safety in the event of retaliatory enemy fire. The ATGM system can use the new Bulat missiles capable of engaging any vehicle with armor thickness up to 250 mm behind ERA.
The Berezhok weapon station is designed for installation on the chassis of both Russian- and foreign-made wheeled and tracked armored vehicles. Innovative design solutions applied during its development and modernization taking into account the results of combat deployment gained make it possible to significantly increase the capacity of combat vehicles.
Rosoboronexport will familiarize the guests of the exhibit with Russian loitering munitions and reconnaissance UAVs. The KUB-2-1E and KUB-2-2-2E loitering munitions from Kalashnikov Group, which will be presented for the first time, are expected to gain main attention. The developers have implemented the functions in the new-generation KUBs that correspond to the realities of modern warfare. The Lancet-E loitering munition system will also be shown in this segment.
In the segment of modern small arms systems, Rosoboronexport will showcase a lineup of latest-generation Kalashnikov assault rifles, Chukavin sniper rifle, PPK-20 submachine gun, ORSIS precision sniper rifles, as well as various collimator, optical, laser and thermal imaging sights.
