The Pantsir-S1M system is on display at the Rosoboronexport booth. The latest mobile, multi-channel air defence missile and gun system, the “Pantsir-S1M,” is designed for the effective destruction of any air targets. Combining all the advantages of its predecessor, this upgraded system features improved tactical and technical capabilities, including an extended range and altitude for engaging air targets. It is capable of using two types of surface-to-air missiles (SAMs): 57E6M-E and 57E6-E.
The Pantsir-S1M is specifically designed for air defence of small-sized military, administrative, and industrial facilities, including mobile units. It provides protection against fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, cruise and short-range missiles, precision munitions, and strengthens air defense units against massive air attacks.
In terms of engagement range, the Pantsir-S1M can engage an airplane with a radar cross-section of 2.5 square meters and a target speed of 300 meters per second. When using missiles, it has a range of 1,200 to 30,000 meters and an altitude range of 15,000 to 18,000 meters. With its gun armament, the system is capable of engaging targets within a range of 200 to 4,000 meters and an altitude of 0 to 3,000 meters.
The Pantsir-S1M can simultaneously engage up to four targets, and it is capable of tracking targets moving at speeds of up to 1,000 meters per second. This combination of features makes the Pantsir-S1M a versatile and powerful asset for modern air defence operations.
