HAL Targets Rs 2.2 Lakh Crore Order Book by 2030

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) revealed that it currently has an order book worth Rs 1.2 lakh crore and expects to secure an additional Rs 1 lakh crore in the upcoming year, bringing the total to Rs 2.2 lakh crore, which it aims to execute by 2030.

At a press conference during Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru, HAL Chairman and Managing Director D K Sunil shared that the company has received orders worth Rs 55,000 crore in the first nine months of the current fiscal year. He further mentioned that HAL expects to finalize orders totaling Rs 1.2 lakh crore in the next five to six months.

He also highlighted HAL’s commitment to innovation, stating that the company invests Rs 2,500 crore annually in research and development to enhance its products and maintain a steady flow of orders.

He also shared details about two major contracts recently secured by HAL: one for 97 Light Combat Aircraft (Tejas) and another for 156 Light Combat Helicopters (Prachanda).

“We have ramped up our production lines to meet growing demand. Three units for manufacturing Light Combat Aircrafts (LCAs)—two in Bengaluru and one in Nashik, Maharashtra—have been established. With these three units, we aim to produce 26 aircraft by 2026. Additionally, we have partnered with private players like Tata and L&T to further enhance our production capacity,” he added.
