Gould Alloys Ltd, an Aero Metals Alliance business and a market-leading supplier of high-integrity metals, components, and supply chain solutions to the aerospace, defence, bio-medical and oil & gas industries, has announced that it is increasing its offering of titanium long and flat products to its already expansive and robust portfolio. These new titanium products and product forms carry major aerospace and defence Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) approvals.
New stock ranges include, but are not limited to:
- Ti 6Al 4V long products of diameter 12.7mm through to diameter 300mm • Ti 6Al 4V plate products range from gauges of 10mm to 127mm
Critical materials, such as titanium, are key building blocks in many industries. Titanium, known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and heat tolerance, is a vital material in aerospace, defence, bio-medical and oil & gas manufacturing. It has become more widely used in the production of key components, and global demand is rising.
In the wake of the widespread supply chain disruption during the COVID-19 pandemic, compounded by further disruption arising due to sanctions in place, industries have been facing unprecedented supply chain challenges. One of the biggest challenges has been the shortage of titanium.
