On January 13, 2025, Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, Chief of Staff at the Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command, flagged off the ‘Dare Square’ Motorcycle Expedition from Visakhapatnam to Ayodhya. The flag-off ceremony was also attended by Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, Flag Officer Commanding the Eastern Fleet. During the event, Vice Admiral Saxena encouraged the participants to prioritize road safety, emphasizing responsible driving.
The rally, organized by INS Ranvijay in collaboration with M/s Bajaj Pulsar, will cover a journey through the states of Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh, ultimately concluding at the Dogra Regimental Centre in Ayodhya. This expedition is part of celebrations marking the 37th Anniversary of INS Ranvijay and reflects the enduring partnership between the Indian Navy and the Dogra Regiment, underscoring the spirit of jointmanship.
A key objective of the rally is to promote mental health and wellness, in line with the Chief of the Naval Staff’s initiative to encourage emotional well-being and resilience. The expedition also aims to raise awareness about India’s rich maritime heritage by engaging with students in schools and colleges, inspiring young minds to appreciate the nation’s naval history.
Beyond the focus on adventure, teamwork, and camaraderie, the rally serves as a platform for spreading awareness about road safety. Participants will highlight the importance of responsible driving, furthering the message of road safety to all.
