The Safir 5K/G MI provides an independent source of electrical and pneumatic power for main engine starting and onboard systems operation in helicopters, trainer aircraft, and other applications. The auxiliary power unit supplies AC voltage to the onboard network and provides compressed air that can also be utilized for the air conditioning system. Thanks to its high reliability, low weight, and compact dimensions, it has become a sought-after solution among helicopter manufacturers and operators worldwide.
It particularly excels in its technical parameters – capable of continuous operation for 6 hours at a maximum operating altitude of 6,000 meters, with optimized fuel consumption of 63.55 kg. To ensure safe operation, the Safir 5K/G MI is equipped with an advanced diagnostic system featuring RS 422 interface, enabling comprehensive monitoring of all key parameters including exhaust gas temperature, speed, and fluid status.
