Liebherr-Aerospace to Showcase Innovations at NBAA-BACE 2024

Liebherr-Aerospace is poised to tackle the challenges of the business aviation industry, as highlighted by its presence at this year’s NBAA-BACE, taking place from October 22 to 24 in Las Vegas, NV. The company is prepared to navigate the transformative changes currently affecting the sector and will be represented at booth 2213.

Leading in Electromechanical Actuators

Liebherr-Aerospace has long been at the forefront of research and development in electromechanical actuators (EMA) for medium to large commercial aircraft. The company is now expanding its portfolio to include smaller actuators, addressing the needs of business jets, helicopters, and the emerging Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sector.

The new modular approach allows for scalability in small installation envelopes while maintaining a favourable power-to-weight ratio and high reliability, benefiting from decades of experience and millions of flight hours in various aircraft programs.

Enhancing Travel Comfort

To improve passenger comfort, Liebherr offers an air humidification system that monitors and maintains onboard humidity levels between 20% and 25%—well above the low threshold of 5%. This system prevents discomfort caused by dry air, especially for sensitive human organs during flights. It features multi-zone humidity control and is designed for easy maintenance.

At the NBAA-BACE, Liebherr-Aerospace will also display state-of-the-art systems and components, including modular electro-mechanical actuators, a nose landing gear, and their air humidification technology.

Transitioning to a Model-Based Enterprise

Liebherr is also embracing digital transformation as it evolves into a model-based enterprise. This shift aims to create a data-centric organization, enhancing collaboration and efficiency across the entire product lifecycle.

Focus on Aftermarket Activities

The Liebherr-Aerospace team is eager to engage with customers, operators, and partners at their booth to discuss trends in business aviation, including aftermarket services. In the USA, Liebherr’s customer service is supported by Liebherr Aerospace Saline, Inc., located in Saline, Michigan, which provides repair services, technical support, and spare parts distribution. Additionally, a liaison office operates in Seattle, Washington, while another service facility in Laval, near Montreal, Canada, offers technical, logistics, and engineering support.

Through its innovative solutions and commitment to customer service, Liebherr-Aerospace is well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of the business aviation industry.
