Rafael Advanced Defense Systems to Showcase New Capabilities at AUSA 2024

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. will showcase its latest defense innovations at AUSA 2024, taking place from October 14-16 in Washington D.C. Highlighting its display will be unique modular Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS), which integrate advanced detection and interception technologies. Among these innovations are the Lite Beam laser-based interception system and the Samson 30mm Remote Weapon Station (RWS) mounted on a 4-wheeled platform. These solutions provide maneuvering forces with robust protection and flexibility against a wide range of airborne threats, including UAVs.

RAFAEL’s comprehensive C-UAS offerings aim to safeguard ground forces operating in dynamic environments, enhancing both survivability and mission success. The advanced sensor and defense technologies embedded within this system deliver a multi-layered approach to countering evolving threats.

In addition to its C-UAS capabilities, RAFAEL will showcase the enhanced features of its TROPHY Active Protection System (APS), a proven solution against various modern threats. The TROPHY system has effectively neutralized airborne threats, including anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), and UAVs, significantly improving the survivability of armoured vehicles. Its capacity to counter aerial threats ensures comprehensive protection for platforms against both ground and air dangers.

TROPHY’s innovative technology is operational on more than a dozen platforms globally, including Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs), and Main Battle Tanks (MBTs). The system has consistently demonstrated its reliability and adaptability in complex combat scenarios, safeguarding vehicles and crews alike.

“This latest presentation at AUSA highlights RAFAEL’s ongoing commitment to delivering advanced battlefield defense solutions. As global threats evolve, we continue to equip armed forces with cutting-edge technologies to ensure their operational superiority in diverse and challenging environments,” said Mr. Tzvi Marmor, EVP & General Manager of the Land & Naval Systems Division.
