The 11th Engineers Conclave, jointly organized by the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), commenced at the Defence Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL) on September 26. This two-day annual event aims to deliberate on two strategic priorities: “Additive Manufacturing for Defence Applications” and “Defence Manufacturing Technologies.”
The conclave was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Anil Kakodkar, and the Guest of Honour, Secretary of the Department of Defence R&D and Chairman of DRDO, Dr. Samir V. Kamat. The gathering also featured remarks from Shri G.A. Srinivasa Murthy, Director of DRDL (Hyderabad), Shri U. Raja Babu, Director General of Missiles and Strategic Systems, and INAE President Prof. Indranil Manna.
Bringing together engineers, scientists, academicians, and industry leaders, the conclave serves as a platform to discuss emerging technologies and advancements in indigenization, reinforcing India’s commitment to bolstering its defence capabilities.
