ROSOBORONEXPORT Highlighted Advanced Defence Solutions at Army 2024

The 10th International Military-Technical Forum Army 2024, held from August 12 to 14 at the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Centre, marked a significant event for ROSOBORONEXPORT JSC, a vital arm of Rostec State Corporation. As the spotlight turned to advancements in military technology, ROSOBORONEXPORT took centre stage with a dynamic display of Russian defence innovations, reinforcing its position as a key player in the global arms market. The exhibition featured an impressive array of over 700 military, dual-use, and civilian products, many of which were unveiled for the first time
Alexander Mikheev, Director General of ROSOBORONEXPORT, articulated the essence of their showcase: “At Army 2024, ROSOBORONEXPORT presents Russian products for the most relevant segments of the global arms market today. At the forum we use a cluster approach to exhibiting state-of-the-art weapons and military equipment that have proved effective in real combat conditions.” This strategic presentation not only highlighted the latest technological advancements but also underscored their proven performance in real-world scenarios.
Among the highlights were the Lancet-E loitering munition system, the upgraded SPTP2S25M (Sprut) light amphibious tank, and the MGTT-LB robotic multipurpose tracked transporter. These innovations reflect ROSOBORONEXPORT’s commitment to advancing defense technology and meeting diverse operational requirements. Organized into thematic segments, the exhibit allowed visitors to explore various categories of military equipment, including long-range weapons, fire control systems, armored combat vehicles, and specialized defense technologies. Key features included explosive reactive armor, active protection systems, and radar-absorbent camouflage kits, showcasing a range of solutions designed to enhance battlefield effectiveness and survivability.
The air defense and UAV countermeasures segment was particularly notable, presenting a range of systems for drone detection and jamming. Technologies such as the Prival, SKPV, and SkyHunter-4PM/FPV exemplify ROSOBORONEXPORT’s dedication to addressing modern aerial threats with sophisticated countermeasures. Additionally, the layered air defense system on display, integrating advanced radars, automated control systems, and air defense systems like the Viking and Tor-M2E SAM systems, highlighted the company’s comprehensive approach to modern defense.

Other segments featured guided weapons, including the 155mm Krasnopol-M2 and 120mm Kitolov-2M artillery projectiles, and a variety of small arms, such as the AK-19 and AK-308 assault rifles. The air materiel section showcased advanced aviation technology, including the Su-35 multi-role fighter and the IL-76MD-90A military transport aircraft. ROSOBORONEXPORT’s participation in Army 2024 demonstrated its ongoing innovation and strategic vision in the defense sector.
