Indian Naval Ship Tabar Arrives in Denmark for Two-Day Visit

The Indian Navy’s advanced stealth frigate, INS Tabar, commanded by Captain MR Harish, has arrived in Esbjerg, Denmark, for a two-day visit. This visit aims to strengthen the existing ties between the Indian and Danish navies, fostering deeper collaboration and mutual understanding.

During its stay at Esbjerg Harbour, the ship’s crew will engage in a series of bilateral professional interactions with the Danish Armed Forces, alongside cultural exchanges. The Indian Navy remains dedicated to building and enhancing partnerships with naval forces worldwide.

The diplomatic relationship between India and Denmark is rooted in historical connections, shared democratic values, and a mutual commitment to regional and global peace and stability. This partnership was elevated to a “Green Strategic Partnership” following a Virtual Summit between Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on September 28, 2020.

INS Tabar, equipped with a comprehensive array of weapons and sensors, is one of the Indian Navy’s earliest stealth frigates. It is assigned to the Indian Navy’s Western Fleet, headquartered in Mumbai under the Western Naval Command.
